It was fairly busy but not every table was occupied, and I was surprised that we were the last to leave at 9.30 on a Friday evening. The menu was small enough to be manageable, yet large enough to offer a wide range of appealing dishes. Everyone in our group found something they liked the sound of.
The staff were very attentive and friendly. They handled small details well, such as replenishing water and maintaining good timing throughout the meal.
The food was outstanding. While I may not be the best at spotting every nuance, I thoroughly enjoyed it. A Sri Lankan in our party even praised the depth of flavour and subtlety of the dishes, which was impressive.
It was expensive for an Indian meal, but fair given the location and quality. We ordered from the à la carte menu, felt very full after our starters and mains, and even took some food home. There is no way we could have managed the tasting menu!
